THIS ONE THING WE WILL DO FOR WORLD PEACE
The whole world clamours for peace; frightened about the news of crisis, war and terrorism. We all look forward for our leaders to provide this peace as, this is one of the reasons we elected them to office. Yes, these leaders do their best at least as, we perceived. Our leaders have all manner of meetings, agreements with and, among countries, groups and sect, campaigns and compromises; all to brings about peace and security. Judging from the looks of things, it seems the more our leaders try to bring about this peace, the more the crisis and wars increases.
IS IT THAT OUR LEADERS ARE NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING OR NOT DOING ENOUGH? The answer is NO.
This answer comes because everything happening on earth involves humans. The economists reckon that man is insatiable and because of this, man can unleash anything to achieve momentary cravings. Because of this, even if our leaders do all the right things, through sabotage, greed, crave for relevance, sheer wickedness, selfishness, etc these efforts are rubbished by other humans and as a result, crisis continues; war perseveres.
“The heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it” (Jeremiah ch 17 vs 9). Because of this heart which no human, even the owner cannot understand, man cannot by himself bring peace even with the help of AI, nuclear weapons and all manner of human inventions. This he
art in itself is a sit of war hence James asks, “Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? (James ch. 4 vs 1). If a man cannot settle the war from within him, how can he settle the war in the world without help? Help from who you may ask. Help from God through His Son Jesus Christ.
IS PEACE NECESSARY? YES. DO WE NEEED IT? YES. WILL IT BE BENEFICIAL TO THE WORLD? YES.
What then shall we do? The simple solution is to accept the LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST WHO, DIED ON THE CROSS TO GIVE US PEACE. Christ factored the world peace in His mission when he was with us on earth hence, He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you” (John ch 14 vs 27). The only thing is for us to subject ourselves to His love and, he would directive out paths (“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him as, and He will direct your path” – Prov. Ch 3 vs 5-6).
When you accept the Life of Christ, for a moment, it may seem you are foolish, slow and out of place. But in a little while, your counsel will be outstanding, you will surpass those running and stand out as a shinning star in all your endeavours.
Only accept the Life of Christ and allow Him to transform you.
