As many as receive Him, He gave the POWER to become the children of God because they believe in His name (John 1 verses 12).
Power in our world today is viewed as an instrument to intimidate the perceived downtrodden or lesser class or the poor hence, many people sought for power in various means even, to their detriment. People has patronised gyms and martial art classes to get physical strength/power, which is good. Other resort to politics and by hook and crook secured political power. This is equally good if used for common good. Diabolical powers are not left off as, humans are spiritual beings.
Unfortunately, physical strength/power fades with age, sickness, decapitation or unprecedented accidents. Political power gotten by sacrificing things or people is bound to be selfish, wicked and lopsided. Diabolical powers often come with human sacrifices often forcefully and/or deceitfully.
All sources of powers mentioned above cannot bring the peace we crave in our innermost being not to talk of the one the world crave. The can be peaceful only when all man has peace within. Is this possible? YES.
The power given to all that receive Christ is the power to have virtues to live a satisfying peaceful live. Christendom has virtues which are the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5: 22-23) who, gives this power. These fruits includes: Love, charity, peace, kindness, fidelity, understanding, patience and joy. These are what the world crave but choose a wrong route via fornication, violence, hatred, jealously, drunkenness, factions, anger, etc (Galatian 5: 19-20).
Embrace Christ today and you will receive that POWER and experience that peace that comes even when there are still unmet need. You must know this, IT IS THE LORD THAT GIVE POWER TO MAKE WEALTH – Deuteronomy 8: 18
Christ holds the real POWER and willing to give you free of charge. Only embrace Him to day.
